Borderline Events – run by Mike Marsden – will run the 2016Β British Cycling Downhill National Championship, to be held at Revolution Bike Park. It will be Mike’s 5th time running the ‘Champs.

The date for the event is expected to beΒ the weekend of 16th & 17th July and entries will go live in the near future. The exact date is to be confirmed.

The job of running national champs is a bit of an honour and is awarded by British Cycling to one race organiser following a tendering process. The race sits separately to the British Downhill Series and awards the National Champion title to the one rider per category that goes the fastest on the day.

Your elite national champions are currently Danny Hart and Rachel Atherton by the way!

We’re pleased with the news – Mike has done a great job in the past and his previous Champs events at Innerleithen, Bala and Moelfre have all been really well delivered. We’re looking forward to seeing Revolution -a great venue in its own right – host the 2016 champs.
