Friends, Romans, countrymen! Lend me your ears! Sheffield needs your help. Entries and unique experiences are being auction off at Peaty’s Steel City DH to raise money for the RADmires trail.
We’ve been beamed this from the guys at Ride Sheffield. They’re raising money for a new trail development, RADmires and need your help. Entries for this oft-sold out race as well as some once-in-a-lifetime experiences are being auctioned. Read below and get involved!
You may have been thinking that you have missed your chance to race at Peaty’s Steel City DH for another year. With some categories oversubscribed by four times the amount of places that were available you would be pretty lucky to get into the event. But this year we are able to offer three people the chance to get a place in the race after the ballot.
We have got two places in Peaty’s Steel City DH in your category of choice up for auction, with all the money raised from them going towards the RADmires trail. All you have to do is either email us your bid with the Header of “SCDH Auction” and your amount in the email, or place your bid on the Ride Sheffield or Steel City Series posts (we will not see them if they are elsewhere!) by the 2nd of April. We will then contact the winners who will receive their entry code after payment.
As well as this, there are a couple of really cool experiences you can get involved with involved with in order to raise money for RADmires…..
Firstly, Ride With Peaty at RADmires. We are offering 10 lucky people the chance to ride with Steve and be the first riders outside of the project team to ride the RADmires trail. Each rider will meet Steve, ride around the Stanage and RADmires area, and probably get in a cheeky pint afterwards. They also get a signed Ride Sheffield T Shirt made out to them from the man himself. All this for just £200 per rider, and the warm glow of knowing you have helped make an awesome trail happen.
Secondly, Hope Technology have offered the chance to tour their factory in Barnoldswick, so we’re offering 8 of you a place for just £150. Again, all proceeds go straight to the RADmires fund.
Hope will show us round the factory, we’ll see the Design Offices, Test lab, Milling, Turning, Laser cutting, Polishing, Anodising, Wheel building and much, much more.
Both of these incredible experiences are available now on a first come, first served basis. Email [email protected] and the first emails received will get first dibs on a place. Once your
donation to the fund has been received, you will be confirmed on your experience, either the ride, or the tour, or both!

Currently we have just over £7000 in the fund. We need £45,000 to make this happen in Spring 2017.
