New news for today – Crankbrothers have just lifted the lid on an expanded range of flat pedals.
Remember those very nice, very expensive Crankbrothers Stamp pedals we reviewed lately? We gave them a very good review but felt that compared to the Nukeproof Horizon Pro and DMR Vault they were just a little bit pricey to win our flat pedal show down.
Crankbrothers have clearly been listening to their audience and have just rejigged their range – with three new pairs of pedals.
The Crankbrothers Stamp 2 and 3 have launched today and offer the same shape platform that we loved on the original Stamp but with lower price tags.
The original Stamp pedal will now be called the Stamp 7 and there’s a super-posh new Stamp 11 with an eye watering price tag.
Stamp 3
- Available in small and large sizes
- small: 399g/pair
- large: 455g/pair
- 16mm profile
- 5 year warranty
- £89.99
The blue pedal you can see in our photos is the Stamp 3.
It keeps the same footprint (scuse the pun!) as the original Stamp with the same size platform.
Whilst the weight goes up by 80g and the profile increases by 5mm, the price comes down by £40 to £89.99 (compared to the £129.99 of the original pedal).
It’s still available in a small and a large version to suit different feet and there’s a range of colours available.

Something we really like is that the new pedals now come with longer pins as standard, answering rider feedback to add a bit more grip. We also really like the return to a conventional axle width – we didn’t find it an issue but lots of riders found that the narrow Stamp axle resulted in shoes rubbing on cranks.
There’s also going to be a special Danny MacAskill Stamp 3 available, with a special Megaskill colour scheme.
Stamp 2
- Available in small and large sizes
- small: 415gg/pair
- large: 479g/pair
- 16mm profile
- 5 year warranty
- £69.99
Also new today is the Crankbrothers Stamp 2 – the lowest cost pedal in the range and one that’s designed to compete with the likes of the DMR V12.
Again, it’s the same pedal platform and still available in two sizes and again, it has the wider axle. This time it’s just £69.99 and comes with a forged pedal body and an extra 5mm of depth.
The Stamp 2 looks a bit less posh and is 20g heavier again than the Stamp 3 … but is still a very respectable pedal. Crucially, it’s still the same size platform as the top pedal and comes with long, grippy pins – on the trail and underfoot there really shouldn’t be any difference in the ‘feel’ of the pedal at either end of the price range.
And the Crankbrothers Stamp 7
- Available in small and large sizes
- small: 345g/pair
- large: 375g/pair
- 11-13mm profile
- 5 year warranty
- £129.99
The Stamp 7 is the original Stamp pedal – with a new name to give it a place in the range.
It’s now the second highest specced (and second most expensive) in the range. The Stamp 7 features a very large platform, a decent concave and high quality bearings with an external seal to keep muck out. You can read our review here.
And the Crankbrothers Stamp 11
- Available in small and large sizes
- Titanium axle
- small: 299g/pair
- large: 325g/pair
- 11-13mm profile
- 5 year warranty
- £269.99
Whilst we didn’t get a chance to see these for ourselves there’s now a super posh Crankbrothers Stamp 11 pedal available.
It has a titanium axle, weighs 50g less than a Stamp 7 and will cost you £269.99 … making it one of the most expensive pedals available. We’ll let you decide if you should add those to your ‘must have’ list!
