We now need a new member to join our team to help get the best out of our new demo service and increase capacity for processing and dispatching orders to customers.
Cotic has a core team of 6 people, so you have the opportunity to have a big impact on the company and the future direction we will take. As well as working well in a small team, you will also be happy to work alone and self-motivated as there will be at least 2 days per week when you will be the only member of staff on site, albeit with other members of staff working at other locations at the same time.
Responsibilities will include:
Customer Service:
- Email or phone follow ups to riders who have demo’d a bike through our Demo Tour.
- Email or phone follow ups to existing customers to ensure they’re happy with their Cotic and if there’s anything more we can do to help them.
- Improve Demo Tour effectiveness, working with our Demo Tour leader to identify and organise demos and Pop Up Showroom events around the UK.
- Answering phone and email inquiries to the demo service on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which are usually Sam’s days off when working weekends.
Audit/Dispatch:
- Coordinate with the order processing and mechanic staff to make sure what goes in a box for dispatch is exactly what the customer ordered, and it’s going to the correct customer.
- Packing boxes for the weekly dispatch.
Admin Support:
- Occasionally provide cover for general Cotic email and phone inquiries, processing orders and taking payments.
- Supporting marketing activities via our social media and websites.
No bike industry experience or even bicycle experience at all required. The successful applicant will be first and foremost organised, motivated, a fast learner, you will need have an eye for detail, and not afraid to seek to improve processes.
You will be helping us to develop a lot of these systems from scratch. You will be good with people, and happy to talk on the phone. You will be computer literate – competent with email, spreadsheets, data entry, social media. Some basic HTML would be useful but not essential as we will train you.
This position is office/warehouse based, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday based at our premises in Calver, Derbyshire in the heart of the Peak District.
This is a permanent, salaried position. Salary offered is £17,000 per year, and includes a bonus scheme connected with overall company performance. Benefits include a Workplace Pension, access to all Cotic’s trade accounts for bike parts at cost and 25 days per year annual leave (pro rata). There will be an initial 6 month trial period with an option to finish at that point from both sides.
