Tracy Moseley and Mike Jardine Inducted Into British Cycling Hall of Fame.

The legends that are Tracy Moseley and Mike Jardine were inducted into the esteemed ranks of the British Cycling Hall of Fame last week.

Two of mountain biking’s biggest names were added to the British Cycling Hall of Fame last week for their work in the annals of our sport’s history.

Mike Jardine

Along with his partner in crime Lesley Beck, who was oddly not included in the induction, Rare Management are best known for putting on the second longest running downhill World Cup event. Starting in 2002 when they got a lucky break as Arai Mountain dropped out of the running, Fort William has been a stop on the circuit every year bar those during the pandemic.

The event offered some timeless classics as far as racing goes, with Greg Minnaar and Tracy Moseley’s domination, Chris Kovarik’s 14 second win and the madness that was the 2007 UCI Downhill World Championships. Ruaridh Cunningham’s gold medal was the icing on the cake of a silver and a bronze for Rachel and Gee Atherton respectively.

Tracy Moseley

A former downhill World Champion, Enduro World Series champion, eighteen time World Cup winner, fosterer of local talent and all-round legend, Tracy Moseley doesn’t really need an introduction.

If you can think of it, Tracy Moseley has probably raced it at an elite level, even dabbling in cyclo cross, XC World Cups, Cape Epic and Trans Provence etc. Still active in ebike racing she’s also responsible for the fostering of now household names such as Evie Richards and Hattie Harnden.
