One step down from their flagship full face, the Bell Full-10 MIPS is the Full-10 Spherical’s younger brother. The Full-10 MIPS swaps Spherical tech for MIPS C-Solution, a carbon shell for a composite one and single layer EPS liner. Weight remains around the same at ~1000g for a M/L size and you save £160 on the asking price too.
MIPS C-Solution is more akin to the MIPS liners seen on more affordable helmets, helping to move the asking price into more sensible realms. The same goes for the composite shell. You get the same Flying Bridge visor that is more flexible than your usual peak and focuses on sending airflow through the shell.
Speaking of airflow, the Full-10 MIPS features Bell’s Thermal Exchange Airflow System. This is exactly what you might expect it to be. Holes at the front guide air in and over the head before being punted out the rear. Bell claim the front vents act like ‘vacuums’.
Like its bigger brother the Full-10 MIPS uses Bell’s Magnefusion cheek pads. This, combined with an XS to XXL size range in three shell options, plus liner thickness options means that there’s a fair scope for fine tuning the fit to your preferences.
Along with the Flying Bridge visor, there’s also an integrated breakaway camera mount. Should things go a bit Pete Tong, you can rest easy know that you didn’t drive your GoPro into terra firma and cause more damage to yourself. Hopefully with the Panoramic Goggle Port Technology, you’ll be able to see well enough to avoid such calamities. The Panoramic Goggle Port is said to provide better sealing for use with goggles, or, offer an uninterrupted view of what lies ahead.
Finally, the Bell Full-10 MIPS covers CE EN, US CPSC, ASTM 1952 Downhill, ASTM 2032 BMX, NTA 8776 and AUS 2008 standards, so you can be your bottom dollar that it has been well tested.
