Nukeproof leaked a photo of their new prototype downhill bike on Facebook today. We’ve known about the project for a few months, but this is the first time we’ve seen any shots of the bike.
Better still – we just got our hands on these images of Joe Smith getting loose on the new bike at last weekend’s Bala Pearce Cycles race. As expected, the bike looks like a total redesign. It’s not Carbon by the looks of it and – whilst you can’t tell much from the images you can see just how different it is to the current bike. There’s a Cane Creek coil shock on there, the tubing looks to be more square and the back end looks maybe slightly beefier. Interesting stuff…
Hotlines also teased us with the Facebook status ‘a dark knight rises’. You can see a ‘SE’ on the top-tube of the photo… Maybe the new bike will be called a ‘Rise’ or similar? Total conjecture there though!
