We rarely see many new or exclusive products at the races these days – the internet and social media usually scoops up anything exciting long before it appears at a race.
But – every now and again a wee nugget of prototype goodness pops up – like this. It’s the yet-to-be-released HT Components T1 pedal. We spotted this one at the British Downhill Series tucked away on the HT Components / Ison Distribution stand on brand manager Jordan Lunn’s Banshee.
Jordan was keeping his cards close to his chest on the T1. All he’d tell us was that it will announced officially “after Eurobike”. Compared to HT’s X2 pedal it looks to be a slightly slimmed-down affair. There’s less pedal body and less pins than the X2 indicating that it’s for lighter weight riding – trail riding, enduro, BMX etc. We’re guessing that the ‘T’ means ‘trail’ and that the new shape is for riders that want less heft than a full blown DH platform pedal. We’ve had great feedback from Pete on the HT X1 so far so we’re hoping for good things from the T1.
