The PMBA’s 2016 enduro series went off with a bang last weekend at Gisburn Forest. with entries full and the sun shining it was a cracking start to the year.
340 racers turned up to kickstart the 2016 PMBA Enduro Series at Gisburn Forest. Many had raced our enduros before, but plenty were doing their first ever event. This is grass roots enduro at its finest.
Held in the rolling hills of Gisburn Forest, in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, the stages were a mix of off-piste trails, trail center red, black & orange runs. With sunshine completing the ingredients we had a recipe for fun.
James Swinden of Cotic took the Elite Male win, an overall time of 8:31 putting him a good 13 seconds clear of silver, taking fastest time of the day in the process. Hope’s Rachael Walker took the ladies’ gong but was pushed the the end, only coming in 4 seconds clear of Abigaile Lawton.
