TAKE MY MONEY. 7 Things we want, but don’t need.

Sometimes you just want something right?

There’s no reason for it, you just hear a screaming “you need that in your life!” from that part of your subconscious that fuels all of your guilty pleasures.

Here’s 7 things that we want in our lives and we just can’t shake it.

Schwalbe Tyre Cutters

TreadCutter_2

The first cutter made specifically for mountain bike tyres, launched at Lourdes World Cup. The adjustable tong lets you set up your cut at exactly the height you need it – and keep every cut exactly on point. “You would think that you would never use them or that they wouldn’t make that much difference, but god dam they are good! They make cutting a tyre down an enjoyable experience!” says Wideopen Team Manager Dave.

You can buy them from your local Schwalbe dealer (we think).

MSR TrailShot Microfilter

unnamed (8)

The MSR Trailshot Microfilter is a lightweight water filtration device. You drop one end into the water source, give it a few pumps and clean, safe water shoots out the other end. It filters out bacteria, protozoa and particulates and is small enough to stash in your pocket or Camelbak. Sounds pointless? Half the field were drinking from streams at the Irish EWS this year …

You can learn more at the MSR homepage.

The Ti-Springs Team Issue titanium bolt kit is a very special kit, produced for pro-teams to help shave off some vital grams from their race bikes. The kit contains every conceivable bolt you’ll need for your race winning whip – all in pimp ti. You can choose wild eye catching colours or stealthy, under the radar black. The full kit costs a pretty impressive £125 and claims to knock 50% off the weight of your hardware.

jpshoe_prod_shot_3_1 jpshoe_prod_shot_5_1

Giro’s latest collaboration with the famous skate artist Jimbo Philips. We’ve got literally no idea where or how you get your hands on these … but if you do, you’ll get Jimbo art work plus a Vibram sole, rubber toe cap, water resistant design and a tonne of other decent features to make your ride better. You can read our review of the Giro Jacket shoes here.

You can buy (we think) these through your local Giro Dealer.

msr-freelite-1-bike-packing-tent

It’s MSR’s lightest tent and weighs just 1g when packed down. It’s available in various sizes – from 1 to 3 man. We’ll have one of these in to test so … roll on bike packing!
