12 Pros of Christmas : Adam Brayton.

We’re counting down to Christmas with 12 of our favourite UK pro riders.

Does Manon like sprouts? Does Ratboy love a roast? Does Peaty get presents? Tune in to find out!

Mr. Gas to Flat, Adam Brayton, is out of the blocks next. 2016 was his year, managing to stay on his bike enough to finish 4th in Fort William and making the GB squad for Worlds.

2016 is almost at an end. Was it a good year for you?

It was a great year for me, I learned a lot of things this season.

With off-season in full effect, have you been relaxing or smashing out the intervals?

I took a short holiday, I wanted to keep on top of my training rather than having to play catch up with Jonny!

Favourite ride/race from this season and why?

Probably Cairns, track is amazing and that was the round where things started to click for me.

Worst race/ride and why?

National Champs, I hurt my wrist and didn’t like the track. My dummy was out and the violin was broke.

What was the last ride/race where you finished running on fumes?

Last Sunday, cyclocross race. Last lap I was dead but I was on my own in 2nd so managed to creep round and hold on.

What’s your number one stand out moment from this year?

Fort William or Worlds I couldn’t pick between the two.

Name one rider to keep a keen eye on for 2017.

I think Matt Walker could be the boy, it’s going to be good to see him and Finn go at it!

You can follow Adam’s progress through the winter months and 2017’s race season on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Keep an eye out for our remaining Pros of Christmas that we’ll be rolling out through December.
