2016 is almost at an end. Was it a good year for you?
It’s always a good year when bikes are involved! We’ve travelled to some new places this year which is always exciting and had some good results along the way.
With off-season in full effect, have you been relaxing or smashing out the intervals?
Mainly relaxing, I’ve been off the bike since August, out with concussion so maxing relaxing trying to fix the noggin!
Favourite ride/race from this season and why?
Fort William World Cup, amazing crowd, amazing track, my best result and surrounded by my friends and family.
Worst race/ride and why?
Fort William World Cup! Although the best it was also the worst as this was where my season ended with a crash putting me out for the rest of the season.
What was the last ride/race where you finished running on fumes?
Lourdes, that track is brutal and has me hanging on for dear life near the end!
3 top tunes of your year?
Anything that blasts out of the radio! I’m pretty rubbish when it comes to music, just turn the radio on and sing along!
What are you most looking forward to in 2017?
Just riding my bike, after not being able to ride for so long now just simply riding a bike with out any problems is something I am looking forward to now more than anything.
What’s on your Christmas list?
A new non stick pan! Scrambled egg just isn’t the same at the moment!
Will you be eating sprouts with your Christmas dinner?
What will your New Year’s Resolution be?
More fun, less stress.
What’s your number one stand out moment from this year?
Our trip out to Australia, amazing trip and real fun race track I even got to go diving on the barrier reef, swim with a turtle and and see shark!
Name one rider to keep a keen eye on for 2017.
Maya Atkinson, first year junior girl who I think has some big potential for the next few years coming.
