We’re hiding from the rain after a huge (and rainy!) day at Fort Bill for the World Cup.
The rain kicked in 30 minutes before qualification started and turned the woods into a battle zone. The riders hit the track in sunshine but the damage was already done and the steady stream of broken peaks, torn jerseys and pissed-off faces told the story.
Today’s qualification runs decide whether you get to race tomorrow. The top 80 men and top 15 women get through to race tomorrow – everyone else has to watch from the sidelines.
Fastest in seeding was, of course, Greg Minnaar. Loris Vergier followed him down and then Jack Moir. For the women it was Rachel Atherton, Tracey Hanna and then Myriam Nicole.
