This week is Crankworx in Innsbruck – an event that Kyle Strait won’t be riding.
Kye entered the Dual Speed and Style event at the previous Crankworx in Les Gets and made it through to the finals. Bad luck kicked in and he took a pretty brutal crash on the first jump of the track.
Riders get points for – as you’d imagine – their time down the track and any tricks they pull on the way. Kyle flipped the first jump and during the rotation managed to hit the other rider. He went down hard, rolled his ankle and is now on the injury bench.

“Unfortunately in The first round of speed and style finals I was taken out mid flip and went down really hard.
Rolled my ankle pretty good and messed my knee up as well. I was not able to get back into the event and will be missing pump track as well.
Hoping that it is just a sprain and to be back on the bike for Innsbruck. Shit luck but going for the best on this one.#kookslams #kookslamed“
