Mountain bike legend and king of Sheffield Steel Steve Peat has launched his own tubeless sealant.
PeatysSealant is described as “a biodegradable, ammonia free, non-hazardous, latex-based tubeless tyre sealant compound”. It has been, we’re told, designed by the Steve Peat for us in his riding and racing.
The new range will include Trail Pouches, which are small pouches of sealant, and larger 1-litre bottles designed for workshop use.
As you probably know, tubeless sealant is needed to run your wheels tubeless. The sealant goes inside your tires instead of inner tubes (poured straight into the tire or injected through the valve) and plugs any holes in your tires that would normally let air escape. We’ve been running tubeless for years now and would definitely recommend it.
