Despite trailing in qualifying, the reigning World Cup champions Aaron Gwin and Myriam Nicole made good the opening race with wins in Losinj, Croatia.
With the Losinj course running some 10 seconds quicker on race day, the defending UCI Downhill World Cup champions Aaron Gwin and Myriam Nicole wasted no time in making it count yesterday.
Gwin won his 20th World Cup in Croatia and is looking well set to bother Minnaar’s GOAT title of most World Cup wins.
