Danny Hart and Rachel Atherton Win the Fort William National Downhill.

The sun shone and the breeze picked up but the World’s best did their thing at the second round of the 2018 British National Downhill Series in Fort William.

Finals day was met with low cloud and drizzle for morning practice in Fort William, but soon came good as the cloud lifted and the sun shone. While the temperatures rose, so did the wind speeds making things tricky on the open upper sections and on the jumps.

Rachel Atherton and Danny Hart took the Elite wins.

Danny crashed in his seeding run and was unsurprisingly off the pace but made good his finals run despite the wind to take the win by over 5 seconds from Greg Williamson.

Rachel Atherton came good as well having finished 4th in seeding to take home the win ahead of the World Cup in a few weeks.

Kade Edwards was pipped to the seeding post by Thibaut Daprela but sneaked ahead of Henry Kerr by a whisker to take win in the finals.
