Friends of South Wales trail builder Ryan Bullimore seek crowd funding

Friends of Ryan Bullimore have set up a crowd funding campaign to raise money for the late-trail builder’s family.

Ryan sadly passed away whilst riding his bike at a well known South Wales mountain bike location that he had been instrumental in creating.

Since his passing the mountain bike community have celebrated his life and his trail building work with a steady stream of tributes and messages on social media.

Ryan was a well known and respected face in the British mountain bike scene and countless riders enjoyed his trails, with many using them to train or film video edits due to the quality of their building.

Ryan’s friends have set up a campaign on Just Giving, asking for donations to raise £500 to “ensure he gets a proper send off and help ease his family’s loss”.

The page pays tribute to Ryan by saying:

Saracen Bike Sale Leader April 25

“Many of us knew Ryan a happy energetic young man, always up for a laugh. He was very selfless spending all his spare time to help create something that didn’t just make him happy but brought smiles too many people. As you may know he has sadly left us so let’s dig deep to ensure he gets a proper send off and help ease his family’s loss. I set a target of £500 but let’s raise more as life holds no price but it’s cost is great”.

The Just Giving page was set up on the 7th June and at the time of writing has already reached 50% of its target.

There are plans for a memorial ride in Ryan’s memory in the near future.

Everyone here at Wideopen would like to send Ryan’s friends and family our best wishes.
