This Way Up MTB Event Heads to Hebden Bridge October 13th.

Get yourself down to the Birchcliffe Centre in Hebden Bridge for a special This Way Up fundraising event hosted by The Tonic.

Saturday October 13th sees The Tonic hosting a special MTB event with a ride-out, screening of Andy McKenna’s story in ‘This Way Up’ and some live music to round everything off.

All this is in aid of raising awareness and funds for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis.

You can purchase tickets for £9.00 per person over on the official Eventbrite page.

Here’s the full skinny on the event and Andy’s journey with Multiple Sclerosis:

The Tonic are proud to host a fundraising mountain bike and screening event for Scottish mountain bike guide Andy McKenna’s Stoked on MS charity campaign. Andy’s inspiring and personal documentary ‘This Way Up’ tells the story of his 10 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis, and his quest for a drug-free path to health.

Profits from the event go to the two unsung heroes who helped Andy and many others gain control of this disease by looking beyond the dominant MS treatments, to investigate the possibilities of managing MS through diet, CBD oil, rest, exercise and lifestyle changes – these global charities are: The Swank Foundation and Overcoming MS (OMS).

RIDE OUT 2pm

The day will start with a ride out at 2pm. There will be 2 groups heading out, one shorter, steady and MS friendly, one a little longer and more rad led by Ben Clayton. The route will start and end at the Birchcliffe Centre, and take a tour of the beautiful Calder Valley landscape in and around Hebden Bridge.
