The best bits of the Vitus Bikes 2019 mountain bike collection

We’re big fans of Vitus Bikes and they’re often our answer to the hunt for good bikes for less money.

The 2019 Vitus Bikes collection just landed and has reminded us that the CRC brand is a go-to for great value, fast and fun bikes.

Here’s a quick look at a few highlights of the brand new 2019 collection:

2019 Vitus E-Sommet VR (£3799 on CRC)

The Vitus E-Sommet VR packs in 170mm of travel, a Shimano Steps e8000 motor, SRAM Guide brakes, a RockShox Lyrik fork and Shimano XT 1 x 11 shifting.

That’s £3799.99 on CRC.

If your budget can’t stretch to the E-Sommet VR, there’s also now the lower-spec E-Sommet which comes with a Yari fork, Shimano Steps e7000 motor and Deore shifting.

That’s £3199 on CRC.

2019 Vitus E-Sentier (£2399.99 on CRC)

There’s also now a hardtail ebike in the range – the Vitus E-Sentier eMTB.

The E-Sentier comes with Deore 1×10, a Shimano steps e7000 motor and a Rekon RL fork.

That’s just £2399.99 on CRC.

The 2019 29’er Vitus Escarpe VRX (£2999.99 on CRC)

The Escarpe is Vitus’ heavy hitting 29’er. It’s got big wheels, 140mm travel and comes with a boost back end and Trunnion mount shock.

The top dog is the Vitus Escarpe 29 VRX which comes complete with an alloy frame, 150mm Fox 36 FIT GRIP 2 Factory fork and Fox DPX2 shock. There’s also 1×11 Shimano XT, SRAM Guide RE Brakes and DT Swiss M1700 wheels with Maxxis Minion and DHRII rubber.

That’ll cost you £2999.99 and is available on CRC

2019 Carbon 27.5″ Vitus Sommet CRX (£2999.99 on CRC)

The Sommet is a bike we’ve spent plenty of race time on over the years, not least a bit of Enduro World Series racing. The Vitus Sommet has 27.5″ wheels and, unlike the 29’er, is available in alloy and carbon options.

That’s £2999.99 on CRC.

… And the alloy 2019 Vitus Sommet VR (£2099.99 on CRC)

That’s £2099.99 over on CRC.

2019 Vitus Sentier hardtails

… and last but not least, the Vitus Sentier is a do-loads-of-stuff, fun angles hardtail with an alloy frame and two wheel size options.

The Sentier 27 VRX is the top 27.5″ version and has a RS Revelation fork with 140mm travel, 2.6″ Schwalbe tyres, Deore 1×11,  BrandX dropper and XT brakes.

That’s £1599.99 at CRC.
