Dyfi Bike Park is now open and taking bookings

It’s the moment you’ve all been (not so!) patiently waiting for… Dyfi Bike Park is open and taking bookings!

After nearly 4 years in development and countless “it’s nearly ready” assurances from the Athertons, the Bike Park is now open. Their website is taking bookings and you’ll be able to ride the park from Saturday 20th July.

For the moment, the park is only accepting bookings for Saturdays and Sundays 10am – 4pm, with uplifts available for ÂŁ36 a day. You’re currently only allowed to ride the park using the uplift.

There are currently 4 black-graded tracks available, all of which are accessed by the uplift. The tracks that are open so far are ’50 Hits’ (50 jumps and loads of berms), ‘Race Track’ (5 minutes of berms, rocks and roots), ‘Original DH’ (6 minutes of pure bloody gnar) and ‘Slab Track’ (a tech-fest down natural bed-rock slabs). There are also plans for some less technical enduro-bike style trails that will be red graded.

We’ve ridden the park with the Athertons and it gets a definite Wideopen seal of approval. It’s tough and technical with lots of loose, slatey rock but it’s a hell of place to ride. The views are stunning, the trails will make you a better rider, you’ll love it. We’d advise you only really give it a shot at this stage if you’re confident riding steep, natural, technical trails.
