Kiwi outfit Gloworm update their range with Bluetooth controls, Link app and USB-C power pack charging.
Gloworm come out of the blocks with a five light range that sees updates including a Bluetooth bar-mounted control unit, their own Link app for customising settings and seeing remaining burnt time, as well as being able to use the batteries as a power pack to charge devices with a USB-C cable.
Gloworm’s G2.0 range features five lights kicks off with the 2000 Lumen X2/X2 Adventure, rising to the 3600 Lumen XSV that featuring some nifty features that should put them high on your list for a new set of lights.
A Bluetooth control unit makes the Gloworm range really stand out and allows you to control multiple lights from your handlebars and features large buttons to work with gloves. Combined with this is the new Link app that allows you to customise the light modes based on customer and athlete feedback. The app also allows to check remaining burn time as well as battery health.
Gloworm’s power packs now also feature an O-LED display and USB-C connections to allow you to charge your devices from the light battery while on the move. The ‘EasyRelease’ connections are designed to resist coming unstuck or causing connection damage, as well as being better at seeing off water ingress. The IP67 waterproof rating means that it can resist being submerged in water a metre deep for up to half an hour.
Fast charging is now also available, with the X2 having a burn time of two hours based off a 90 minute charge.
