Reframing Mountain Biking exists to bring representatives of the mountain biking community together to look collectively at how we can progress mountain biking in the UK past some of its challenges, to make the sport a better, more inclusive and sustainable, fun space for all. This is a call for mountain bike brands, media, wider industry organisations, groups and individuals to contribute towards moving discussion into action.

On Friday 1st we will host speakers from the mountain bike and outdoor community, followed by an afternoon of workshops and discussion. Topics to be covered will include inclusion and diversity, trails and associations, image and culture. Speakers will include Lauren MacCallum (Protect Our Winters), Dr Fiona Spotswood (University of Bristol), Adam Dayson (WorkWith Studios), Fee Wallace (Aberdeenshire Trail Association and Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland), Dr James Cherrington (Sheffield Hallam University), Dave Evans (UK Trails Project, Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland) and more to be announced.

Saturday 2nd will take place at Parkwood Springs, with a number of engagement sessions to get involved with, and engage the local community, including trail work, guided rides, bike demos, and tours giving a land manager’s perspective of building trails in an urban environment.

This year, through work with VisitSheffield, we are able to offer accommodation packages at a discounted rate for attendees. Details of this can be found at the sign up link. For both days tickets are ‘pay as you feel’, with a suggested donation of £10 to go towards the delivery of the event.
