Josh Bryceland wanted a push-on grip without the glue, wire or whisky throttle downsides but the security of a lock-on without the feel inherent in such a design. A hybrid core was the solution. This involves replacing the plastic under your three outside knuckles with rubber from your hand to the bar. Burgtec claim that “the extra rubber gives you all the tragic industry buzzwords in one place; damped, fatigue-reducing, compliant.”
At the end of the day, sore hands is a thing that nobody wants and this is the way they’ve chosen to achieve that. There’s also a ‘pinky window’ under the grip for when you’re holding on for dear life and adds to the feel of a push-on grip.
Once the core was sorted, the pattern was another key element. Comfy enough but also with plenty of purchase. Horizontal lines reflect Josh’s laid back (horizontal) manner. It’s all capped off with a different pattern on the pinky window and a low profile flange at the collar.
