Their Crowdfund raffle and subsequent film is the first step in Trail Rippers CIC’s mission to lower barriers MTB and make the sport more inclusive.
When not slinging downhill bikes around and Dyfi Bike Park and collecting silverware at the races, Trail Rippers are doing the good things. Their latest mission is through Trail Rippers CIC that is raising funds to produce ‘Dyfi Groms’, their next film.

Trailrippers Project CIC are working on their new film, “Dyfi Groms”, and raising funds for the production with an exciting raffle.
“Dyfi Groms” tells the story of the diverse mountain biking community in the Dyfi Valley around Machynlleth in Mid-Wales through the eyes of the young riders. Following a few key people, the film showcases how mountain biking connects different generations, brings joy and community as well as offering opportunities for employment.
The bilingual film (Welsh/English) explores the roots of mountain biking in the Dyfi Valley and illustrates how it became a world-class riding destination, winning the Singletrack Magazine Award for “Best UK Riding Destination”.
Trailrippers Project CIC was set up by young brothers Nathan and Ruben de Vaux (aka the “Trailrippers”) with the support of their mum Ina, as a not-for-profit enterprise. Their aim is to lower barriers into mountain biking and create a more inclusive sport. One way of achieving this, is by producing authentic and diverse films which amplify the voices of under-represented communities.
The production of “Dyfi Groms” started in April 2024 and is ongoing. Trailrippers Project CIC is now running a Prize Draw to give everyone the chance to support their second film and raise the funds to complete production. Prizes include a free weekend in an off-grid camper from Camper Van Hire Mid Wales, a voucher for a canyoning adventure for 4 people with Adrenalin Addicts, 2 Fox mountain bike dropper seat posts and a free mountain bike suspension service from Silverfish Service Centre.
Directed by Ashley Leung from Tiny House Creatives, “Dyfi Groms” promises to be as successful as the Trailrippers’ first venture into film making: “Flow“, which won multiple awards and was viewed across the world.
