Fox’s new RAWTEC collection aims to push the on-trail performance level of their kit to the next level in terms of breathability, mobility, durability, and comfort.
Starting with their Speedsuit that debuted at the opening round of the 2024 UCI Downhill World Cup, Fox’s RAWTEC kit is made from an engineered jacquard fabric.
First up, what on Earth is a Jacquard fabric you might ask? Developed by one Monsieur Jacquard, the fabric is generally heavier and more durable than other fabrics that can have intricate patterns woven into it to accentuate or minimise certain qualities.
Fox have used this RAWTEC engineered Jacquard fabric to up the breathability with strategically-placed ventilation, the mobility by allowing an TruMotion all-way stretch to the fabric, the durability with added stretch nylon sleeves as well as integrated abrasion resistant panels. Overall comfort is provided by TruDri cooling, bonded seams with stretch cuffs and a water-repellent finish.
The collection consists of Fox RAWTEC Men’s and Womens versions of the pant and long sleeve jersey. These are complimented by matching 50th anniversary colourway options for the Speedframe Pro helmet, Union BOA shoe, Flexair gloves and PureVue goggles.
