If you like your bikes niche, namely handmade steel, singlespeed and full suspension, the Starling Beady Little Eye is the one for you.
Enjoying the upgrades that their other V3 frames received, the Starling Beady Little Eye V3 is a short travel, singlespeed ripper.
Starling Cycles’ Beady Little Eye V3 is here, sporting a frame of handmade Reynolds 853 and heat-treated CroMo steel that can be run as a full 29er or a Mullet. 90mm rear wheel travel is on offer, paired with a suggested fork travel of between 110mm and 140mm.
With a swing arm that rotates around the BB, you get zero chain growth, with an offset dropout that allows you to run zero sag to cut out pedal bob. This also allows for some fairly progressive geometry that makes the bike rip but is also a pretty efficient machine at the same time.

Like its stablemates, the Beady Little Eye V3 gets the V3 upgrades of an anti-flare head tube, anti-seize seat tube, a lower top tube and more dropper insertion. There’s also a classic seat clamp to keep it simple. A new bottom bracket design increases the kinds of cranks you can run and keeps your bearings running smoother for longer.
As this is a weird bike for weird people, the order book for The Beady Little Eye closes on Halloween, October 31st. A frame only, or frame or shock will be available. The Beady frame only comes in at £2,456.00, a Beady frame with a Rock Shox Deluxe Ultimate RCT will set you back £2,781.00.
