Jess Stone put her Mudhugger money into backing some young talent and this year, she brought the together at Forest of Dean for a coaching day with Katy Curd.
Six young riders benefitted not only from some pennies thanks to Jess Stone, but they all got to meet their benefactor and each other on a mega day in the Forest of Dean.
If you didn’t already know, Jess Stone is our longest serving Elite racing MTB ambassador, having first raced with our original Shorty front mudguard at MSA Canada in 2013.

In recent years we’ve been in a position to help fund some of her MTB adventures. However, Jess, being Jess, is the most generous person you might be lucky enough to know.

So, instead of keeping all of the Mudhugger cash for herself, she decided to pay for 6 young female riders to join her and Katy Curd at Pedalaway bikes FOD during the Easter school holidays for a top day of coaching, skids and laughs.

Orla Bloom, Emily Moseley, Charlotte Lawton, Amelia Martin, Ffion Pickstock and Mai Woodman spent the day hitting lines, drops and jumps under Katy and Jess’s careful tuition. Safe to say everyone came away a better rider and a massive smile on their faces. Certainly, a day we won’t forget in hurry.

Massive shout out to Matt and the crew at the Pedalabikeaway Cafe for sorting everyone out with a great lunch and refreshments.
Hopefully we can do something similar again in the near future… If you do one thing today, be more like Jess.
