Based on Nukeproof’s Reactor frame, the Nukeproof Reactor 290c ST aims to hone the bike’s all day capabilities with tweaked suspension and spec to suit.
Travel drops from 140 to 130mm on the fork, and 130mm to 125mm on the rear. Both are controlled by Fox Float Factory units. With the change in suspension travel, angles are slightly changed as well, with the Reactor ST now sporting a 66.8° (66.3° Low) head angle and a 76.3° (75.8° Low) seat angle.
Suspension kinematics have changed too. High on the cassette you’ll get more anti-squat to help you destroy those climbs, with that falling away the lower down the cassette you go to maintain the bike’s descending capabilities.
The groupset is predominantly Shimano XT 12-speed, with the exception of the rear mech, which is a Shimano XTR number. Brakes are Shimano’s 2-piston XT brakes complete with IceTech rotors and metallic pads.
Wheels are DT Swiss’ venerable alloy units, the XM1501, which come shod with Maxxis’ Rekon Race tyres for easy speed on the trails. Finishing kit is Nukeproof’s own top of the line Horizon bar, stem and saddle. The former being carbon, naturally.
The size Medium sports an 451mm reach with an 420mm seat tube.
Available from 30th April in sizes Medium, Large and XLarge.
