We’re celebrating over here at WideopenHQ this morning after finding out that the Wideopenmag team bagged 2 awesome overall results this weekend at theBritish4X and Pearce CyclesSeries.
First up – our 4X’er Alistair Keen was at Redhill this weekend for the final of the British 4Xseries. Keeny scored a 5th place on the day and an awesome 5th place overall in the series. Nice work boy!
And second – our elite female downhiller Ellie Maxfield was at Bucknell for the final of the Pearce Cycles Series.
Ellie stepped up to elite this year and – we’ll be honest – none of us were sure how it would go. She spent most of the winter recovering from injury and entered the season in pretty poor shape and not feeling 100% motivated.
We’re stoked to say that Ellie managed to bag a 3rd on the day and take the overall series elite female win. Not only that … but she managed to snap her both her chain stays on the step down on her final run and STILL finish the race! Mental.
I’ll finish this with a huge shout out to all of our friends that have helped the team out with all of the top quality kit that has allowed Keeny, Ellie and the rest of the team to perform at their best all season. Cheers guys!
