Joe Parffit was – until the end of 2015 – Team wideopenmag’s legendary Welsh young gun youth downhiller. He’s an absolute hero that can ride South Wales dirt like lightning. For 2016 he’s moved on from Wideopenmag and is following his World Cup dreams with a new team. Parff raced for us through his two youth seasons and will move on to his new team as a junior to compete at the majority of the UCI DH World Cups.
Why do we love Parff? He’s amazingly Welsh, he’s funny as hell and he has an amazing habit of pulling out killer results when we least expect it. We’ll also miss his dad – the legendary Jet Wash Jeff Parfitt. He’s a wizard on the jet wash and on the enduro bikes, he makes a mean cuppa, he drives the best uplift in the land and he does a great job of looking after everyone and their bikes.
Here’s a little video tribute to Joe and Jeff from all of here at Wideopenmag, produced by Luke Hough.
Team Wideopenmag is powered by Nukeproof Bikes and Fox Head Europe.
We’re also supported by Camelbak, Conti Tyres, Drift Innovation, Fenwicks Bike Cleaners and Mud Hugger with additional support from MRP, Flyup Downhill,Crank Brothers and Ti-Springs!
