For the vast majority of us, a turnbar or Schleybletop are the options beyond stiff-back-to-hold-on over jumps. Luckily we have air mile extraordinaire Joel Anderson on hand.
As it’s Pancake Day, let’s start with laying it flat with tabletops. Here’s Joel’s top tips for looking like an absolute boss when hitting the jumps.
1. Make sure you can clear your chosen jump comfortably every time.
2. Go normal speed into the lip and pull up off the lip like normal.
3. Take your finger off the brake that will be top side of your bike when your doing this trick.
4. Aim to put the top side end of your handle bar under your arm pit (which will mean spinning your top hand around the grip).
5. Turn your hips and flick your legs up towards the top hand (as above) simultaneously.
6. Make sure someone got a sick photo.
7. Get the wheels back safely underneath you by reversing 3 and 4, then regain a tight grip of your bars!
8. Upload sick picture to Instagram for everyone to see with the hashtag #TabesForBabes.
Top tip!
Tables are easier over hip jumps. When you table, the back end will like to step out. Hit upload and watch those likes pour in!
