Strava is to begin offering its Premium account holders insurance for their devices and ‘breakdown cover’ as of this month.
In an attempt to get more Premium users on board, Strava have announced that those with a Strava Premium account will have access to benefits well in excess of the membership fee.
On top of offering 2 months free bicycle insurance, you’ll get cover for your devices while using Strava, taxi reimbursements (up to £30) if faced with a mechanical breakdown as well as discounts on cycle, rider and travel insurance. They’ll even offer to cover missed races up to the value of £75 should you be ill.
10,000,000 activities were uploaded to Strava in 2016 making the app the most popular GPS-based offering for training and riding.
Strava Premium prices vary from country to country – in the UK it’s currently £5.99 per month or £44.99 per year. Sign up is here.
