Welcome to Llangollen in North Wales for the penultimate round of the 2017 HSBC UK British Downhill Series.
We’re racing the brand new Ride Portugal track, built by Brian Mundy. The track was completed a month ago and was built to step-up UK downhill tracks to a bigger, gnarlier level. What that means is that it’s bloody steep, there’s some big ass jumps and there’s some wild, scary riding going down.
Despite the track being a genuine challenge, it was enough to attract a sell out entry list and top the race up from a ‘might happen’ to a full start sheet.
Everything you can see here was shot yesterday during Saturday’s practice session – the day started with a few nervous riders but ended up with some big riding. Today’s race is going to be good!
