Gee Atherton Qualifies Fastest in La Bresse.

After bagging his 100th World Cup start in Mont Saint Anne and finishing 8th, Gee Atherton has taken the top spot in France ahead of Amaury Pierron.

A return to form in Canada must have been just the confidence boost that the Trek Factor Racing veteran needed to pip World Cup overall winner Amaury Pierron to 1st place in Qualifying at the La Bresse World Cup.

Gee took the win by a narrow margin after a stellar bottom half. Proving he’s well on form and had mastered the changing conditions as the rain fell in France. There’s no points on offer for qualifying at this round, but the fast will always be charging hard.

Props to Martin Maes who came off the back of winning the Whistler EWS to qualify 12th.

Tahnee Seagrave showed that a crash in practice did no damage as she swept the floor with the rest of the field, amassing an advantage of over 8 seconds ahead of Rachel Atherton.

These two are the main contenders for the overall, but with points only on offer for finals, will we see Rachel Atherton do what she did in Mont Saint Anne and come back from a 12 second deficit in qualis to take a 5 second win in finals?
