Gee Atherton has cast aside his Red Bull Hardline daemons and shows he’s still on form by taking the win at the 2018 Hardline event.
Rain spoiled play but the veteran World Cup rider put all that experience to good use and took the win in convincing fashion with a six second advantage over previous Red Bull Hardline winner, Bernard Kerr.
Gee qualified first, a mere two seconds up on Kerr, but took a mighty 9 seconds off his qualifying time to cross the line with a time of 3:06.73, the second fastest winning time after Craig Evans’ victory in 2017.
