Introducing Connor Smith – Team Wideopenmag’s young gun downhiller

Connor Smith is a young gun downhill racer from the midlands and part of our family here at Wideopenmag.

Connor grew up racing triathlon with his family, then switched over to downhill. He joined our team in 2018 and has had an awesome year of riding and racing.

He joined us at the Megavalanche, punched out some solid results at the British Downhill Series and has taken on a load of other events alongside.

Connor raced his first year in the Youth age group in 2018 – despite that he scored some top results and was always up there in the top 2 or 3 riders in his age group. He also scored some top 5’s at the British Nationals, won his category at the Malverns and got 6th at National Champs. With the help of his coach, Alan Milway, he’s on track for some great results in his second youth year.

We put together this little video to give you guys an introduction to our mate Connor – look out for big things from him in 2019!

Thanks to Will Hook for making this video happen.
