Fabric Cycling Range Review | Everything You Need to Know.

Ahead of testing the range of Fabric Cycling gear to see whether they can cut the mustard, we take a closer look at the range.

If you’re after tricking out your bike with some of the finest contact points out there, then Fabric Cycling range might well be the one to keep your eyes on.

Pete takes a look at the Fabric Cycling range ahead of the standalone tests.

Scoop Race Radius Ti Saddle

Fabric’s Scoop saddle is a classic and they’ve expanded the range to multiple widths, contours and saddle materials.

The Scoop Radius Ti sports the Radius profile which is a more relaxed design for days in the saddle, sat upright and for comfort. A rounded shape and the most padding of the three offerings.

Ti speaks for itself. You get Ti rails with a flexible nylon base and microfibre cover. Dimensions wise, you’re looking at a 142mm width and a 282mm length, with a height of 48mm from mid rail to the top of the saddle in a 250g package.

All this comes in at £69.99 RRP.

Scoop Elite Shallow CroMo Saddle

A similar design but for a slightly different style of riding, the Scoop Elite Shallow CroMo is the jack of all trades of the Scoop world.

Ti rails are replaced by CroMo ones as the name suggests, but you only gain 16g in the process. The same flexible nylon base gets a waterproof covering. Dimensions are identical but you get a 1mm taller height but in a slightly more curved profile for a mix of comfort and performance.

A switch to CroMo rails also saves you fifteen quid, the asking price only £44.99 RRP.

Line Elite Shallow CroMo Saddle

The Line range of saddles takes the Scoop base and adds a pressure relief channel in it for those longer days out on the push irons.

You get the same 7mm CroMo rails, flexible nylon base and 142mm width and a 282mm length, with a lighter weight of 242g. Height grows ever so slightly to 49mm.

The Shallow profile again aims to offer a good blend of performance and comfort, so is slightly racier than the Radius offering at the top of the list.

RRP on the Line Elite Shallow CroMo Saddle is £54.99.

Stratosphere Sport Pump

Track pumps might well not be the most exciting thing ever, but they perform a valuable part of getting the wind in your wheels or into a modern tubeless inflation system.

The Stratosphere Sport starts the range off at £31.99 and for that you get a heavy duty nylon construction mated to a steel tube and a rubber hose. The hose is long enough to inflate the tyres while your bike is in the stand up to 140psi.

Eight In One Tool

A good multitool can get you out of a pinch without weighing you down too much. The Eight In One is definitely the kind of tool that’s perfect for those blasts where you want the peace of mind that you have some tools with you.

Saracen Bike Sale Leader April 25

The body is CNC alloy for weight with CNC steel tools for durability. You get a 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6mm Allen Key, a Phillips and flat head screwdriver as well as a T25 torx key.

Dimensions are 36mm x 71mm, with a weight of 84g. RRP is £17.99.

Sixteen In One Tool

Could this be the tool to beat? With a similar construction to the Eight In One, it’s only 10mm wider but sports double the tools.

You get a 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8mm Allen keys, 13-16 spoke gauge, a Phillips head, a T25 torx, Mavic spine, bottle opener and chain-splitter at only 110g.

For those longer days in the hills, this could well be the one, for only £24.99 RRP.

Magic Grip

The Magic Grip has been developed in collaboration with the 50:01 crew for those all day missions.

A blend of semi-ergonomic profile and the 30a durometer mushroom grip is designed to give comfort and reduce arm pump and fatigue.

Sporting only a single bar clamp, you get 135mm x 32mm grip weighing in at 106g.

£16.99 RRP is the asking price.

AM Grip

At first glance, the AM Grip looks to be just a slide-on, but lift the rubber collar and you’ll find the clamp hidden away. Ideal for those who like to run their hands fairly inboard, as well as keeping the bolts out of the way in a crash.

Featuring a micro hex pattern, soft compound and a 135 x 31mm grip weighing in at 96g, they’ll suit those looking to get the gloves off at the first chance they get.

£19.99 RRP and they’re yours.

Gripper Bottle

As the name would suggest, the Gripper bottle is designed to stay in your hand regardless of the conditions. Sporting a moulded gripper upper and a textured surface on the bottle body, this is more than just your mass-produced logo’d bottle.

If you’re a bit cack-handed and can’t hold onto a bottle, then this might be the one for you.

You get 600ml of your favourite juice too.

£8.99 RRP.
