The mountain bike community has lost one of its greats in Corrado Herin who passed away following a tragic aeroplane accident in the Aosta Valley.
Corrado Herin took his natural aptitude for high speed from his days as a luge specialist and took bronze at his first ever World Championships in Vail, Colorado in 1994. The Italian charging hard on a Sintesi Bazooka is iconic of late 90s/early 2000s downhill.
Herin would follow up his Worlds bronze by taking the 1997 World Cup overall with three World Cup wins that season.
Rest in peace Corrado Herin.
