French enduro pinner and three times Enduro World Series second place overall rider Damien Oton has announced his departure from Devinci.
Other than Sam Hill, few riders have graced quite as many EWS podiums in recent years as Damien Oton.
Rumours are that Oton will either head closer to home for his 2020 team sponsor, or that he’ll be part of a rumoured Schwinn enduro team. We’re sure to find out the score on January 1st.

After the hardest year of my life, surrounded by injuries, It will be time for a fresh start. We’ve spent 6 years together from amazing victories and sad moments, but I’ll never forget. THANK YOU, you guys believed in me when I was a plumber, to take me to best Enduro level. We did great things together, I’m proud. Cheers for the good times. ❤️ @damienoton will take up new challenges in 2020. It is with much pride and emotion that Devinci pays tribute to this great rider. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Damien became part of the Devinci family in 2014, for the 2nd Edition of the Enduro World Series. At the age of 26, he made the giant leap, setting aside his trade as a plumber to devote himself entirely to becoming a professional enduro athlete. We are so proud to have put our faith in this rare bird when we first put together our enduro team! He is a three-time runner-up of the EWS overall (2014, 2016 and 2018), two-time winner of an EWS event and multiple Megavalanche winner. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Damien will be missed, especially since he was really starting to master the Quebec accent! But, don’t worry Dam—there will always be a small stock of maple syrup for you in the pits. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #Devinci #UniorDevinci #UDFR #Racing #Enduro #EWS #CatalanEagle #devincifamily
