French rider and World Cup winner Alex Fayolle has announced that he is to retire from racing after a decade at the sharp end.
Alex Fayolle bagged his first World Cup podium in Vallnord at the end of 2016, after a year of mixed results. Few could have expected, probably even himself, that he’d then go and take the wind up taking the win in Lourdes at the opening round the following year.
He’d announce on his social media that he’d ticked all the boxes he wanted to tick, but didn’t expand on what he’d be up to next.
