We’re not even out of the 2020 woods yet but British Cycling have announced 2021 National Downhill dates and venues.
Is it too early to get excited yet? Did we ask this same question in June?
In any case, a five round National Downhill Series has been announced by British Cycling. The SDA, Gravity Events and Borderline Events teams will organise the series in line with their own. Becci Skelton and Joe Breeden are your defending champions.
National Champs will be at the legendary Rhyd-Y-Felin organised by the even more legendary Pearce Cycles. Danny Hart and Stacey Fisher will be defending their titles here.
Our guess would be that round 2, currently TBC, will take place in Fort William. Historically it’s landed in May, which is also when the SDA usually have their round there, about a month before the World Cup in June.
