Myriam Nicole Demolishes the Portugal Cup in Boticas.

Racing resumed in continental Europe, with the Commencal/Muc-Off team electing to head to Portugal where Pompon cleaned up.

Commencal/Muc-Off star Myriam Nicole would make a statement at the weekend’s Portugal Cup in Boticas as downhill racing returned to various parts of the Continent. With World Cups about a month away, this is definitely a marker for the French pinner as the 2021 UCI Downhill World Cup season looms.

Pompon would put a solid fourteen seconds into three-time Spanish downhill champion Telma Torregrosa Sancho. Her time of 2:21.552 would put her closer to the Elite Men’s winner and team mate Amaury Pierron, than it would the Spanish champ in second. She’d place 19th had she raced in Elite Men.
