Off the back of a fundraiser for Ride Bristol by the Stif MTB Bristol store, a 3-year deal has been signed to upkeep and develop local trails.
Stif MTB join forces with Ride Bristol for the next three years in a partnership that aims at keeping the Bristol trails sweet while developing the existing network.
It was no coincidence that we chose the outskirts of Bristol as the home for a new Stif store, which since opening its doors in early 2020 has become a part of a thriving and vibrant mountain biking scene around the city. Our intention to give back to the community that shares our passion was part of the plan long before our feet hit the shop floor.
The doors to our Winterbourne store had barely been open a month before we teamed up with Misspent Summers to premiere their Tea & Biscuits project, raising over ยฃ1,000 which was donated to Ride Bristol to maintain and improve the network of trails at Ashton Court.
Furthering our relationship with Ride Bristol, we are today delighted to announce a 3 year partnership with a focus on the continued upkeep and development of local trails. Weโre kicking off our joint venture with a redesign of the SuperNova trail in Barn Wood. Weโve walked and ridden the trail, put our heads together and come up with a plan to make the trail a fresh and fun challenge to cater for riders of all abilities.
Having secured the services of professional trailbuilders Architrail, who will provide 100 tonnes of stone and all the heavy duty machinery necessary for the shaping of the red-graded descent, weโre finally able to start work on November 16th 2021. Once the stone is in place the machinery will make way for volunteers, led by Architrail & Ride Bristol, to shape the riding surface.
A good volunteer turnout will enable us to get the greatest potential out of the trail. To find out more hit this link.
There will be a Jam Session coming in Spring 2022. Watch this space.
