Orbea Launch the Rise In the Alloy ‘H’ Model.

If you like the idea of less power and lower weight from your ebike while not costing the earth, then the Orbea Rise H might just be the one for you.

With a starting price of £4,599.99, Orbea’s Rise H10 comes in over a thousand pounds cheaper than the equivalent carbon fibre model, without losing any of the performance.

Based around the Shimano EP8 RS, the Orbea Rise H alloy-framed ebike gets a battery upgrade to 540Wh, over the carbon model’s 320Wh. Both come with their own specific range extenders which offers an extra 252Wh in the alloy model, bumping you to 792Wh total should you need that extra range.

The alloy frame is double and triple butted to save weight and get the strength where it’s needed. The polishing process used is designed to decrease weld stress but also makes the carbon and alloy versions look almost identical. At 3.4kg, it’s only 100g heavier than the Occam frame. With the top model coming in at 19kg without pedals, it’s definitely class-leading in terms of ebike weight.

A smart charger will detect whether the battery or range extender is being charged and adjust the voltage accordingly, offering an 80% charge of the 540Wh battery in 3 hours.

Three models make up the new Orbea Rise H range, kicking off with the H30 at £4,599.99, the mid-range H15 is £5,199.99, with the H10 topping the range at £6,099.00.

Geometry

Geometry is identical to that of the carbon versions, with the medium Rise H coming in with a 450mm reach and a 419mm seat tube. Head angle is adjustable by half a degree between 66 and 65.5 with the seat tube angle adjustable between 77 and 76.5. Chainstays are 445mm long and give a wheel base on the medium of 1205mm.
