Canyon’s enduro race weapon, the Strive, gets even more racey with a solid dollop of feedback from their CLLTV pinners.
Based on mods that the Canyon CLLTV mechanics had been making to race team Strives; slacker head angle, taller ride and BB height, as well as a smoother and quieter ride. These mods to the Strive now become the production bike.
The new Strive CFR sports longer reach, 63-degree head tube angle, lengthened wheelbase, updated kinematic and improved stiffness, the Strive CFR is more confident at speed than ever before.
Shapeshifter 2.0 allows the Strive CFR to make its geomtry and suspension more climb-friendly, with headset cups also allowing for reach adjustment to really fine tune the cockpit.
Shapeshifter adjusts the bike’s head tube and seat tube angles by 1.5 degrees and the bottom bracket height by 15 mm. At 160 mm of rear travel, the new Strive CFR boasts 10 mm more rear wheel travel than the outgoing model.
New tube profiles also add stiffness to this race-focused machine, where getting from A-to-B is very much high on the priority list. Even with this, the Strive CFR frame is only 100g more than the Spectral 29.
Geometry
The Canton Strive CFR is available in four sizes; Small, Medium, Large and XLarge.
Reach on the Medium is 480mm with a seat tube of 420mm. Head tube in the low setting is 63 degrees with a seat tube angle of 76.5 degrees. Chainstays are 435mm on a wheelbase 1270mm.
