The New Antidote Woodsprite | Everything You Need to Know.

Antidote Bikes’ new Woodpsrite is their 29″ wheeled enduro machine that borrows their FDS linkage and geometry from the Carbonjack.

Designed around 135mm rear travel on a tweaked FDS linkage system and their Golden Ratio geometry, the Antidote Woodsprite is the Polish brand’s do-it-all machine.

The frame itself is made of a carbon fibre and vectran composite, all hand-made at Antidote’s facility in Poland.

With a single link and the shock now mounted to the frame itself, the Woodsprite from Antidote Bikes looks very much like the Polish brand’s other offerings but in a more compact package. Offering up 135mm travel and designed around a 140-150mm fork, it’s a go anywhere, do-it-all machine.

The Woodsprite’s 135mm travel is inspired by MX bikes’ progression to give supple initial travel while ramping up towards the end of the stroke. High anti-squat and anti-rise also feature. Unlike the FDS on the Carbonjack, the Smart FDS has the shock fixed rather than its virtual counterpart on the longer travel machine. 40mm of the 135mm travel features a rearward axle path to allow the suspension to better absorb hits and get out of the way of them.

Seven complete bikes, six framesets and a frame-only option are available. Bikes start at 7,799.00 Euro and rise to 8,699.00. Framesets start at 4,399.00 and rise to 6,299.00 Euro. Frames are 3,799.00 Euro.

Geometry

Geometry-wise, the Woodsprite has been designed without a ludicrous head angle, and boasts a longer chainstay for a longer wheelbase and overall stability. Three sizes are available, M, L and XL.

Reach on the M is 455mm with a seat tube of 420mm. Head angle is 65.5 with an effective seat tube angle of 76.6 degrees. Chainstays are lengthy at 455mm on a wheelbase of 1218.7mm.
