The PushBike Club is a bit of a day dream come true, we all lust over new kit, watch videos, races and consume all manner of social media content that involves bikes but unless it’s a ride or race there’s not much else to bring us together.

The PushBike Club aims to tick that empty box and give a venue for bikers to meet, check out some cool bikes and enjoy the company of like minded folk. There might be a film, interview with someone ingrained in our sport or exhibition of some classic photos from days gone by.

There’s a sh*t ton of digital content out there but nothing beats being in the same room as other like minded people and bikes.

We’re starting with a real mixed bag, throwing in a bunch of things to look at and chat about over your free beer. You’ll get that beer and some goodies when you arrive, the chance to win some cool stuff and listen to an interesting interview. There’s a sh*t ton of digital content out there but nothing beats being in the same room as other like minded people and bikes.

To kick off we’re taking over Society Café in Bristol on the evening of Friday 2nd of September, from 7PM. Filmmaker Tom Caldwell (@tommyc_insta) will be talking about his ride through the MTB media ranks to become one of the most exciting videographers working today. His unique style brings together a rawness that exudes the simple fun of riding mountain bikes so who better to be our guest for the inaugural PushBike Club meet-up.

Tom will be doing a hosted Q&A alongside showing and discussing some of his finest video work including some never before seen footage from around the world of MTB.

We’ll have two wheeled stallions on display from ARBR bikes, a classic Orange plus some cool MTB memorabilia to trigger a few MTB memories and who knows what else!

If this sounds like your cup of tea then you can grab a ticket here for the bargain price of £8, that ticket will land you a beer when you turn up, a few stickers and a lovely little zine.

Who’s Behind the PushBike Club I hear you say?

A guy called Dave, bike nerd, long time rider, sometime racer and general man of the bike.

‘I worked for Dirt Magazine (the actual printed one) during the heady days of DirtTV and when a cover shot was on every rider’s bucket list. I’ve worked for various brands in a marketing capacity, developed bikes with others and thrown my experience at anything that I feel I can help with, I feel like I’ve been around a bit.

I run a coaching company called Plus 3 MTB and from the chats these events create it seemed a good idea to get biking folk out of the carpark and into somewhere more sociable. So here we are!’

Huge thanks to Nathan who helped me dream up the logos, zine content and website, Adrian from Society Café for being so into bikes he wanted to make this happen and Mike at Brixton Brewery for putting those free beers in your hands.
