Airdrop Bikes have launched the Edit MX that offers up plenty of whatever you want unless it’s a full 29″ wheeled bicycle. 27.5″ wheels are integral to what make Airdrop tick, so you get frames tuned for MX or full 27.5″ wheels. Both frames use the same rear end but you get a different front triangle depending on which wheels you go for, to ensure the geometry remains similar.
A 6061-T6 frame uses a one-piece CNC rocker to drive the 62.5 or 65mm stroke shock for 161 or 167mm travel respectively. Suggested fork travel is either 160mm or 170mm. Everything else on the bike is sensible and modern, including UDH compatibility. Seat tubes have been clipped to allow for greater seat post insertion, and the rear brake mount is now up to a 200mm post mount.
Four frame kits and three complete bikes are available. Frames are MX or 27.5″ with either a Rockshox SDLX Coil RC2T or an Ohlins TTX coil coming in at £1,799.00 or £1,999.00 RRP respectively. Complete bikes are MX-only and kick off with the Luxe at £3,699.00 with the mid range Deluxe coming in at £4,399.00 and the Works at £5,499.00.
