Merida Launch Their New eOneForty and eOneSixty.

Merida have given their eOneSixty and eOneForty ebikes a refresh in almost ever aspect, keeping up with their most recent bike updates.

The most recent bikes to get the latest kinematic and geometry updates in Merida’s range are the eOneSixty and eOneForty ebikes that get the Agilometer treatment as well as suspension layout changes.

Topping the range of new offerings is the eOneSixty CF, sporting 170 mm front and 174 mm rear travel (27.5″ wheel), a fully integrated 600Wh battery that can be extended to 960Wh with an optional range extender. The eOneSixty Lite is the alloy version of the same, with a larger battery at 750Wh, pushing the total battery capacity to over 1000Wh with the range extender.

eOneForty models are alloy only, 143mm rear wheel travel on 29″ wheels, run a 750Wh battery with the option to go over 1000Wh hours with the same supplied range extender. All bikes are equipped with Shimano’s EP801 motor providing 85Nm of torque.

Size specific leverage curves mean that riders can get full travel and the support they need from their suspension. The kinematic is a derivation of the FAST platform first seen on the new OneSixty and OneForty. The eOneSixty runs a P-Flex Stay whilst the eOneForty runs a seat stay bearing pivot. A flip chip does change travel (+/- 14mm) but keeps the geometry the same should you want to go full 29″ or MX wheels.

Head angles are 1 degree slacker, seat tubes are 3 degrees steeper, reach has grown 19mm and chainstays are 6.5mm longer. Head tubes are shorter to bring the front end lower and the reach based sizing is complimented by Merida’s new travel adjust seat post.

The Merida eOneForty range is four bikes strong, starting with the eOneforty 400 at £4,300.00 and rising to the eOneForty 675 EQ at £5,300.00. The eOneSixty range kicks off with the eOneSixty Lite 675 at £5,500.00 rising to the eOneSixty CF 10000 at £10,500.00.
